On August 31 2016 Hugo Chelton (RFIB) and Justin Whitehead (RKH) depart from Caen to Monte Carlo on 2 wheels in aid of The Shackleton Foundation.
They will cover approx 1,300km and wind their way down through Central France exploring the Loire and Rhone valleys, through Provence and finally into Monaco. An update of Justin and Hugo’s ride which was completed on schedule as planned on Saturday 9th September.
Exactly 843.6 miles covered in 10 consecutive days unsupported. It was much harder than anticipated, but glorified by the stunning French countryside, clear blue skies and a kind wind down the Rhone. The journey started in Normandy, winding down through the Loire, the Rhone and then into the relentless hills of Provence, ending up in Nice and finally Monte Carlo Casino Square (see attached lycra clad photo!).
